How to auto connect to a nfs server in Arch

To connect to a nfs share in archlinux, you need to download and install nfs-utils package that will provide the client tool to connect to a nfs server.

 
Install nfs in archlinux
pacman -S nfs-utils
 
Create a nas directory under /mnt
mkdir /mnt/nas

chmod 777 /mnt/nas
Edit fstab to automaticaly mount the remote share
vim /etc/fstab
# add the following line assuming that the nfs server is at 192.168.0.1
192.168.0.1:/mnt/share /mnt/nas nfs rw 0 0
 
Edit /etc/rc.conf to add the nfs daemons rpcbind and nfs-common in between network and netfs
DAEMONS=(... network rpcbind nfs-common @netfs ...)
